About me
I began my yoga journey by chance, attending a yoga class instead of going to my regular Pilates class as my teacher failed to turn up. After one class I was hooked and could not wait to attend the next week to yet again get the buzz I had after the first one. It seemed to put everything into perspective in the rest of my life and soon I became addicted, attending a few classes a week.
After a few years the classes were not enough and I decided that I wanted to delve deeper into this ancient practice and fully immerse myself in all things yogic. So in 2009 I began my teacher training with Teach Yoga, taking a year’s course so that I could continue to work and also consolidate my learning’s. Teaching Hatha yoga in London at some top studios and clubs, before my husband and I moved out to Dubai in 2010, I have been teaching here ever since. Furthering my training to be able to teach prenatal yoga in 2011 and also attending some amazing workshops with Cameron Shayne, Elena Voyce, Kreg Weiss, Max Strom & Yogi Kamal Singh. I achieved the Vinyasa flow Level 2 teacher training in December 2012, with Julie Martin and Emil Wendel at Brahmani Yoga and subsequently completed the Restorative Yoga Immersion Course in January 2015 and a Yin teacher training in 2016 with Jade Wood. In October 2016 I attended the GroovyKids Yoga Teacher Training course taught by Greville Henwood which was super inspiring. Now I am able to offer kids yoga lessons. |
In December 2013 I became a mummy for the first time and this has changed my yoga practise again. Finding time and striking a balance between play time and practise time, is a daily challenge and it sometimes means I have a partner on the mat. In July of 2017 I had my second baby girl and the daily challenge has become even more testing. Especially as I have also had to rebuild my body after a second difficult pregnancy and subsequent Diastasis Recti However this has made me stronger, mentally and physically and more importantly I am able to impart this knowledge onto my clients.
